The Library was chartered in 1896, and is an Association Library located in the Historic YMCA building at 6 South Street in Addison, N.Y.

Benefits of the library Our Mission is to provide quality service to the residents of the Addison School District in an open and non-judgmental environment with free access to library materials in a variety of formats.

The Library serves more than a place to get books and movies. There are six computers for members of the public to use, as well as an all-in-one printer/copier/fax machine. The library is also a meeting place for tutors and students, for counselors, and for story hour. We also offer free wireless internet access for anyone in the vicinity of the library. Last year, an external antenna was installed to provide better access in the park.

The Library is funded by the residents of the Addison School District, the Village of Addison, the Town of Addison, the Town of Tuscarora, Steuben County Aid, and the Local Service Support Aid for NYS Library.
